Extremely Robust Triple Acting Surge Protection

100% total clean sheet design:  Custom designed and optimized for full 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GE10GbE, or 10 GigE) operation.  Including components that have been specifically created specifically for full 10 Gpps service.  This is NOT a warmed over 1 Gbps product that could fail under certain conditions.  This product has maximized RL and NEXT performance over long cable runs.

Maximum overvoltage and surge suppression protection.

Triple circuit protections:

  1. Individual overvoltage protection for each discrete data pair. This protects PHY magnetics in all connected devices.  Both transverse (metallic) and longitudinal protection (common mode) protection.
  2. Individual surge/overvoltage clamping from each of the 8 ethernet conductors to ground.
  3. Protection on each POE circuit from POE supply overvoltage excursions. This protects all POE connected devices from surge and overvoltage damage.

 

Each of these triple circuit protections are protected with two levels of protection:

  1. Semiconductor Transient Voltage Suppressors (TVS) are at the vanguard of protection. Peak pulse power: 600 W (10/1000 μs) and 4 kW (8/20 μs).  They trigger in microseconds and catch the leading edge of any overvoltage excursion or surge.
  2. The TVS devices are then backed up by Gas Discharge Tube (GDT) devices that operate in microseconds. They have incredibly high abilities to absorb high energy events.  10,000 Amps They are the ultimate line of defense to protect your devices.

Shielded Connectors

The design of this circuit does not employ Back Up Gaps (BUGs); therefore it is both fast, durable and reliable!

It is simply a better circuit. Greater protection for your expensive equipment is provided by the 10Gig-SS Ethernet Surge Protector.

As previously mentioned, shielded and grounded jacks bond shielded CAT5 and CAT6 wiring to the building ground system.

This protector is compatible with 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) circuits as well as passive POE systems.  It supports both PoE mode A and B for power.
